Howdy! Our first autumn at the ranch has been a busy one! We’ve enjoyed campfires, hayrides and private Fall gatherings with some wonderful people.
On October 31, a group of students from the Kanakuk Institute came out to the ranch for a hayride, bonfire . . . and a little dance party.
The following night some sweet families joined us at the ranch for our “S’mores and More” Fall Gathering.
Each family was presented with an apple basket to use for the evening. The baskets were filled with s’mores ingredients, mugs for hot chocolate, and lined with a farm-style checked fabric made by the mother of one of our interns (Emily). I really don’t know what we’d do without our interns!
Lindsay, another intern, prepared each basket with love and care. Each bag was stamped with the family’s name and tied with twine. Here’s a photo of Lindsay with the finished product.
Last weekend a private dining event, “Dinner at Dusk,” was held at the ranch. The evening began with a hayride and ended with a private dinner party at the ranch house.
Guests were seated at one long, communal table and enjoyed an exquisite meal of French Onion Soup with Gruyere Toast Points, Apple and Molasses Glazed Pork Loin with Apple Cider Gastrique, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Green Bean Almondine. The meal was topped off with an apple tart dessert pastrie. Catering by The Aviary was exceptional!!
We are also very appreciative of our friend Jeannie Huff of PhotoGenie Photography who came out to share her talents with us. As always, she captured some gorgeous photos of the event.
We look forward to hosting private dining events at the ranch in the future. We’ll let you know when tickets are available for purchase!
We’re very grateful for the Fall fun at the ranch this year, and look forward to all that’s ahead.
Thanks for checking in with us!
Love your families well . . .
